Questions & Answers
Glasswork is generally not done with acetylene and oxygen because of their high temperatures. Detrification can occur if the pigments are burned along with the glass. The glass will work as long as it is clear boro glass and used with a bit of care. In addition, we have experimented with acetylene and air, which burns hotter than propane and air, but not as hot as propane and oxygen. Bore work can be performed with an acetylene / air torch. The burn is cleaner as it has a slower melting temperature, but the flame is clean and clear. You might want to find an acetylene/air torch if you have an acetylene tank.

My understanding of this glass is very limited so I can't speak to its fine point, but it melts easily and doesn't have any temperament. The product is of good quality. I would purchase.
