Excellent product, and it arrived in a timely manner.
We have a closet that previously housed a 1996 commercial laundry center. When it came time to replace it, we wanted a machine that would last at least 25 years (an appliance repairman recommended SQ). Our installers were unable to level the machine during installation and discovered that the problem was caused by our flooring. Because of its heavy weight and fast spin cycle, this machine puts a lot more strain on our hardwood than any other. We still can't get the machine to work without load balancing issues during the wash cycle after paying someone to come reinforce the floor in the closet area. We have no choice but to run on low spin, which means we can't use a lot of the wash presets. Even with low spin, certain items (towels, bedding) require supervision, and we literally hold the machine when the spins begin (this occurs after the wash, rinse, and during the spin cycle) to prevent the machine from damaging anything with its shaking and swaying. After each load, we wipe down the washer's gasket/glass door and leave it open for a few hours to allow the moisture to air dry. Advantages: br>br> Cycle time display, moisture sensing dry cycles, "favorites" programming option, clothes smell great (didn't change our detergent or the amount we used, but the clothes feel and smell better)br>br>Cons: impossible to level in an old construction home, so much heavier than alternatives that our flooring needed additional repair, so heavy that we can't move the machine ourselves to do basic repairs, dryer door buzzes (usually stops if I stand there and press on it a few times), washer makes a clinking sound like a zipper is hitting the glass door but only occurs with loads of only towels, washer still smells like burnt rubber after 15 loads of laundry (probably the gask), dryer door buzzes (usually stops )br>br>I mean, this thing can actually do a load of laundry. That, I suppose, is how low the bar has been set. I'm grateful there haven't been any leaks or error codes, as it was a costly appliance replacement that has proven to be more trouble than it's worth. If we had the chance, we would most likely do things differently. I miss the days when I could just put a load in and walk away.
