The washer does, in fact, require 110v power. The dryer will require a gas connection.
The dryer is gas, and the washer is electric. I'm not sure how wide it is, but it should be listed in the product description's dimensions.

The water level does not remain consistent. In the middle of the wash cycle, the machine comes to a halt and shuts down. Restarting the machine and resetting the control both fail to solve the problem. I'm stuck with a tub full of soapy water and wet clothes far too often. The machine will occasionally reach the rinse cycle, but because it does not spin fast enough, the fabric softener will not empty into the tub, and the clothes will not be completely wrung out. GE has completely failed in this endeavor. br>Purchasing this machine is a waste of time and money. br>br>I understand that the machine is noisy after reading numerous reviews on other websites. I'm swapping out an old GE that was making a racket. It's something I've become accustomed to. The dryer, not the washer, was, however, extremely noisy. The dryer has the sound of an old sewing machine or a small air compressor. The worst part of the machine is that no matter what temperature I set for the water, when I use the WHITE setting, it is always HOT. Hello! Not all white people require heat! I used the "Bulky" setting and the water level was set to SMALL, but the tub was completely full. So, what's going on here? Only a few towels were in my possession. Another time, I used the PRECISE FILL setting a couple of times, and the water level was at the top of the tub, despite the fact that I only had a few items of clothing in the machine. br>Very imprecise, and the unit is probably going to cost me a lot of water because it is faulty. I do not recommend this machine because it has far too many issues reported by multiple owners, and the customer service is appalling.
