There are parts that allow it to be vented. The dryer has a ventilation kit that I purchased to go along with it. My machine doesn't push a lot of lint through, I see very little of it getting through. As a cat owner, cat fur is always on everything, and the lint filter in the dryer is designed to capture a considerable amount of lint and hair. Additionally, I do not over load the dryer. It is ok to place your dryer on the carpet, mine hardly gets warm outside. The dryer works great, only thing is it best not to fill it more than half full because otherwise it would take twice as long for clothes to dry and the shirts and jeans would get wrinkled very quickly. I find that it efficiently dries my jeans, but if I don't let them cool down after washing then they are pretty hot when they come out. It is automatic to cool down the dryer at the end of the timer so that items come out cool if the cycle is not prematurely interrupted. The small apartment I have is the perfect fit for this. We had a wonderful start to the new year. I liked the size of the bed, the fact that it dried well, and the quietness. I did not expect it to dry as fast as it did, but it worked. On this last weekend, during an order at home, the device just stopped working at all. The timer is not counting down, the dryer isn't spinning, nothing is happening. I am not sure if it overheated. It is impossible to contact support through any of the numbers, and emails are not returned.
