The repair will be more straightforward if you turn the vessel on its side
5/5

In this washer, we have a second pump. This was the first time we purchased an impeller from a local supplier and it snapped 5 months later. It was much easier to install this part that was previously in the system. After going the traditional route the first time, getting the spring back in the boot proved to be a challenge. I tried out the alternative, and I tipped the u it on its side as suggested online. It worked a lot better than it did on the other side.

Water pumps are having a problem with LG's T8000, but thankfully the problem isn't too hard to repair
5/5

We have all experienced situations in which things malfunction at the worst time possible. Whenever we had a lot of laundry to do we could not get the washer to pump water for whatever reason. After trying to drain the washer manually, I finally managed to drain it using the lower hose. I opened the "filter trap" and it was clean, so I put my finger inside and I felt something moving that did not As a result of my research on line I came to the conclusion that the water pump was the likely culprit, which affirmed my intuition. Therefore, after purchasing one from the page, I opted to go with the Askoll brand motor versus some of the other brands. If LG has an issue I would at least purchase an OEM one since my belief is "copies" aren't as good quality (sorry, stereotype) but on the other hand I know there are some things this belief is incorrect about. In any case. My motor arrived as advertised after ordering it online. Replacing the door seal was hardest part when they used the spring clamp to hold the door in place. Those were some tough challenges. Trying to accomplish 15 things with only two hands is some difficult task. That's really impressive. People in some videos lay the washer on its side, take off the bottom, and then put it back together. It took a lot of effort to get rid of the This is what I'll do again if I have to. As soon as I get to the bottom, I'm in! I took the old pump out when it was time to replace it. What I had on my screen is what you can see. There was a problem with the impeller, and the shaft had snapped! There were still motor rotations, but the impeller was loose (that was what I could feel with my finger moving around in there! ). As a result of reassembly and a test run, the washer is functioning normally. We are back to business as usual! If you are interested in taking on this project, I highly recommend it. You can do it yourself for very little money and will be able to save yourself a ton over calling a repairman. They only advantage they have is that they possess the right tool to reinstall the door seal clamp. If you wish to purchase the tool, then you can. The tool cost $30, but I saved it because I was cheap. After all, it was a mistake. Though it was a struggle, I managed it without the tool, but it would have made the whole process a lot simpler. Compared with local fuel places, this pump is $30 while the local places in town will charge you anywhere from $45-$70 instead It was an affordable fix to bring the washer back to life for only $60.

It saved the day when the delivery was made on the same I was shocked at how fast Amazon Next Day Delivery was
5/5

My order for this item arrived the next day after placing it on Saturday night. I believe retail will soon be a thing of the past. The LG Tromm that I was using had an OE error while I was After doing all the steps online about cleaning the plug and emptying the drain I got my plug out. I got the same error on the next test cycle, so this did not work. Eventually, I found a YouTube video that explained the process of getting to your pump step by step. only took a couple of minutes to complete. A lot of the impeller was loose when I pulled the pump out, so I think there was a problem. On Amazon, I found that this item was being marketed by multiple sellers. They are not OEM, and this has caused many complaints. This was the one I ordered because I felt like taking a chance. I was surprised at how fast the delivery was, it was there the next morning. Comparing it to the old one, it looks the same as before. Even the plastic was emblazoned with the PLASET symbol. There is not a notable difference in weight between that of the original and this Putting the machine in and out, I had it back up in another 10 minutes Finished assembling. Everything went smoothly when I started it up and ran a cycle. After my laundry is done, I must complete five loads. I would like to thank Amazon for saving the day with next-day delivery.
As a side note, I have changed several items on this washer in 10 years using YouTube and Amazon. The machines are equipped with several parts that are certain to fail sooner or later.

An erosion of beach sand destroyed a pump
5/5

I receive a LG washer and dryer as part of my rental property. I noticed that the OE error code was displayed when the washer stopped draining. *A wet / dry vac was used to remove the drain hose after the machine was disassembled, the pump removed, and the machine was reassembled. Initially, the hose was clogged with beach sand. The vac had no problem sucking that out. There was a small hose coming from the drum that In the skinny drain hose from the pump body, beach sand filled every crack and crevice. It took nearly an hour to clear the obstruction with a coat hanger. In addition, the impeller of the pump was wobbly and had a small leak caused by the sand. As a result of the replacement pump, normal operation was restored. My next step will be to use the simple- The pump hose should be accessed after every rental to ensure there is no sand inside. We have evidence that this will collect sand to make a fast / easy diagnosis of a problem, hopefully before the pump fails.

This is not an original equipment manufacturer item
3/5

I wouldn't call it Having ordered an OEM LG pump from the part distributor, I received it today. arrives in a box marked LG, and the pump is marked LG as well. Unlike that pump, this one does not require any maintenance. There is a good chance that it will fit and that it will However, my experience has shown that these aftermarket substitute pumps only last a few months before breaking down. When I received the product, I had hoped it would be OEM, but when I opened it up, I realized it was not.

The OEM finish and fit are unbeatable
5/5

The product appears to be well-made. It was a straightforward installation and the washing machine worked like new once the pump was installed. The old pump was making a grinding noise during the rinse cycle which appeared to be coming from the pump (lower left corner of the front). As soon as I removed the rotor shaft, I noticed the damage to it. We would recommend this pump to others and we would again purchase it. It was my own responsibility to replace the pump. Screwdriver and pliers are the only tools needed to do this. Video tutorials for how to do things are easy to find online.
