The service bulletin for this part indicates it has been modified. Does this part have that modification?

Exactly what you mean by modified part is a mystery to me. I've now had this new ice maker replacement for about a week, and so far it's worked great, making ice, not freezing, and not leaking all over the floor of the With the ice maker that came with our fridge, it had been the same. Despite owning the Samsung fridge for six months, it turned out to be a complete disaster. The new ice maker has been using up to twice as much ice as it once did, so we are happy that it still works. The Samsung refrigerators we had had terrible reviews and of the servicemen that came to repair them, most said they are in constant demand. If we had money, we would have bought a new refrigerator.

This model of work model works with an ice maker, does it not?

The ice maker is responsible for making ice. This needs to be put in place of the existing unit

Here is what I have for an ice maker Da97- Would it be better to buy the 15217a ice maker if it was still available or should i go with Could you let me know if it's a new update?

I believe that the D is the newest version of the icemaker

Are you able to use this with the rf265BES/AAA?

The original ice maker was not functioning for beans, so I purchased this new one. I was able to install it fairly easily, but I could not keep the ice maker cold enough for ice cubes to properly freeze. If you don't want to buy this, I wouldn't recommend it. In my opinion, the problem of designing will not be solved by this.

You can do it! Ice makers are sealed with a plastic cap
5/5

It was supposed to fix my three-thousand-dollar Samsung refrigerator, so I bought it. A year after purchasing, the ice maker started freezing up, and you know what happened next. The Samsung DA97-X I bought is quite nice This is the 15217D Refrigerator Ice Maker I am hoping to work. The answer is yes. To be fair, I did seal the ice box in the fridge as well. After you remove the ice cube container from the ice maker, shine a bright light underneath the ice maker on the left wall of the refrigerator. It is likely that you will see light pass into the ice maker (from the refrigerator). In an ice maker, it is hard to seal the inside. Using this method, you will need to remove the By simply sealing the ice maker from underneath, between the ice box and the left wall, you can keep it working. The seal is actually better than sealing from the inside since you cannot reach the far backside. I used food-grade clear silicon (not sure if you need the food-grade kind) underneath, so you cannot see anything unless you're 3 years old. I have included some pictures. In addition, I put drip clips on the back wall condenser coil so that the thaw water is directed A change will be reflected in the next update. I wish all the owners frustrated a happy holiday season. A NEW UPDATED It has been one year since the incident. The problem is zero. I'm very satisfied with my ice maker. You no longer have to deal with defrosting issues. There is no doubt that the ICE must be sealed Taking a look under the box (see photos) gives the most clues to the problem. As the air in the fridge warms up (opening or closing above freezing), the ice-makers froze up and stopped There are instructions in the tech notes for replacing ice-makers to seal from the inside (which is quite difficult). The seal should be applied from the.

The stingy production of ice has been fixed
4/5

The stingy production of ice has been fixed. As part of addressing the dripping water from dispenser, I have already replaced the auger assembly, replaced the cracked ice bucket, and sealed the ice room with food-safe silicone sealant. As much as possible, I want a hair dryer that doesn't have to be defrosted every 2 days The duration of the treatment is 3 weeks. I appreciate your kind words of advice. You will need to buy a new one because the augers and ice assemblies have been updated to the D series. Would just like to ask how the class action lawsuit has been going? *B. *B. - The following edit was made to the text DA82 is also required if your refrigerator does not already include it To prevent evaporator fan vents from icing over, you need Y clips (drip clips).

A 1997-DA It's been 30 days since the last update
5/5

A genuine OEM part, I believe it is well worth its price. It was necessary for me to defrost the ice maker compartment about every four weeks. The ice dams were not present when I checked today. I was able to resolve the ice dam issues through the revisions to model D. It's worth it to take on the challenge if you're not afraid of tackling this project. There are YouTube videos to help you. Remove the AC cord from the old unit before you remove the refrigerant loop or it will freeze when you pull the In the event of a refrigerant loop frost up, you will not be able to lock the new ice maker.

I was able to fix my icemaker with this
5/5

had the same problem everyone else did. The icemaker freezes up and there is no ice being Samsung declined to address the problem with my RF28HFEDBSR/AA even after I contacted them with regard to the issue with the refrigerator out of warranty. I would be glad to send someone out to fix it, at my expense. My last Samsung purchase, in any form, will be this one. A few weeks ago, I bought this new icemaker modual from Amazon, DA97-A, and have been working with it since then. DA82-15217. A along with drip clip kit) In A02367A. This was the first time that I had installed any clips on my fridge. As well as sealing up the icemaker compartment with silicone, I also added a couple of rubber bands. In the two weeks since it was installed, the icemaker has worked without any issues no frost, no icing on the ice cubes, just ice cubes in the bin. Maybe I'll be lucky? We'll see how long that lasts, perhaps I'll get luck? Edit the following. It seems my luck has run out, so I am getting discouraged. It seems that my ice maker has returned to its old ways. I learned a new trick though, forced defrost. There's a 'secret menu' that allows you to set the fridge to forced defrost that will help you melt some of the frost in the ice compartment. This process usually works for about six months. Once this mode helped me clear the frost, I had to run it twice more. It still took me a couple of scrapers and a heat gun to get all of the ice out, but the defrost mode did help. Learn how to enter it on youtube by searching the site. Although the instructions are pretty clear, the one point that is unclear is how to exit from It will terminate automatically when it is completed, you do not have to do anything. The amount of defrosting required will depend on the amount of ice. During the first run, it took me 45 minutes during the second run, it took me 20 minutes. Samsung is junk and therefore do NOT purchase any of their refrigerators!.

A $3,000 Samsung flex 4 door refrigerator was bought over three years ago, and it has delivered the kind of fit and ice I've been looking for
5/5

It began icing over and jamming within six months, which led to the ice maker being shut off. I was able to fix the problem by holding a hair dryer to the inside of the ice maker and melting the caked-on ice. I had to repeat this every 4 to 5 days until it was fixed. Over a year and a half, I have been sleeping six hours a day. Earlier this year, I decided to get a new ice maker to replace my old one. It was easy to install, and I haven't had any problems since I installed it almost a year ago. I have updated My issue was resolved for over a year and a half thanks to this. In recent months, the inside of the building iced over again after the ice stopped. I see ice the size of my fist in the back, blocking the rotation of the blades and pushing the ice out. Some people refer to this as 'frost', but I see ice the size of my fist. Using a hand-held blow dryer, I removed the ice maker, removed all ice, dried the ice maker, and then reinstalled it. It would be nice if I could continue this job for another year. Everything seems to be going well with the ice maker. This is a design flaw with the fridge.
