Separately from the ice storage bin, you will have to order one.
You cannot find an instruction in the ice maker box, but if you search for an instruction on how to replace the ice maker on you tube, you might find a video that shows you how to replace it step by step. In other words, we did that. To change it, you only need to make a few small adjustments. In ten minutes I was done. On one side, you will find 2 screws that you have to losen. On the other side, you will find a modular plug and wires that you can unplug, as well as a leveling screw and bracket on the bottom that can be adjusted to level it when necessary. I would think it will take at least 24 hours before you can have ice to There is a lot of air to purge, and that could take quite some time. There is a suggestion to throw away the first batch of ice cubes. Since then, it has worked great for us and is very easy to set up.
It works well and was installed.
There is a good possibility that the wiring connection will not work if you do not get the part no off the replacement icemaker

Because of my inability to locate the exact model or part number, I was extremely hesitant to purchase. It's not the original model that I got (see pics), but it's from the same manufacturer and works just fine. (The green tag is "old," the red label is "new"). Despite Fridgidaire's warranty having expired, ours broke roughly 3 months later. Below I've included some pictures that may help (click to see the helpful comments if it did so it will help more people-- There was very little help in the questions/reviews so I went out on a limb and bought it). Here is a picture so you can compare it to yours. You have to remove the old thru screws behind the front above where the ice is made (mine were flathead). These are the ones included in this model since new ones are not included here. As soon as you remove the old one, you can hang (and connect the cord at the same time) the screws (2) in the new place. If you look at the picture, you can tell that Hang them a little loose so that they will slide down and be Once the screws are tightened, replace them. Making sure you have a stable backwater slide is important when you do that The point at which the water flows in The square in the back is above where the back part of the arch is (see photo). That's all there is to it. Easy to remove the front cap that has an on/off switch, and you can adjust the level by turning a screw. If you want to adjust, let it run several times in a row- For mine to become regular, it took a few months. When I first saw it I thought it was too low There almost was a flood after two and an adjustment. It's probably your ice maker if this looks like it! A much better and more affordable option than having someone take a look at it and order A relatively simple fix is also included. Thanks for taking the time to visit my website. I tried to post a lot of pictures since those on the web weren't very plentiful.
You might also want to check out My Frigidaire is going to be a perfect replacement for this. (Model LGHT1837NF4, just in case anyone wanted to be absolutely In addition, I would like to point out that In the past 2 years, I have been through two of these (this is my third). As a result of my initial mistake I thought the solenoid was the problem because the ice maker suddenly stopped making ice less than a year after I had installed it, so I replaced it and it worked for just over a year. When I didn't follow up then, about a month ago a colleague advised me to run hot water through the inlet where the water enters the ice maker as ice may have formed there and clogged the solenoid, keeping water from being dispensing. (This explains why I initially thought it was a solenoid problem. When I tested it a few minutes later, the solenoid pushed water into the ice maker for the first time in about TWO years. It was THAT and that was that. Aside from that, there was no further action taken. According to the technician, the gears probably seized up due to being idle for so long. This is when I decided to order it and it has been working great for me so far. Next time I notice the solenoid is not kicking on when it should, I'll try shooting water into the inlet to see if that helps. One tip I'd like to suggest is to use a meat injector (large syringe) to force the water into the little raceway in the square part of an ice maker. Give it a few spritzes of hot water then let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes, and see if any water comes out. Many people did not have other concerns all along, if that is the case.
Leveling the unit on the freezer wall is the only thing you have to do. There is nothing more satisfying than when something works and it silences the wife.
The last 6 months I went without ice were agonizing. In the last few days I got myself iced up! The problem has been resolved. The first thing I did was replace The most common failure is software, because I read somewhere that it is the most likely to go wrong. This was not what it was. There was an actual ice maker in the room. I had no problems removing or installing. It may have taken less than ten minutes. My laptop was not working, so I replaced it before leaving for Upon getting home from work, I found a tray of ice. This product has so far worked for me. (I haven't updated in a year or so, though it has only been a few days) Update your UDATES. I was 2 1/2 yrs old and I've been working since then Adding more ice to the machine.
In light of my personal experience with this product, I offer the following remarks. I own a Frigidaire side-by-side freezer with ice and water in the I noticed the ice maker (part #241642511) stopped dropping ice when I was baking a cake for Christmas. The ice we bought for Christmas was enough to last us through the holidays. Research was being done at the same time. The gears or heater had stopped working, so that's why I decided to replace them. As far as the part I needed was concerned, my usual appliance parts website was out of stock. This one (part #241798224) is what I ordered. Even though I was skeptical that this would work, it turned out to be a great solution. Two screws, which were only to be unscrewed 3/4 of the way, and one wiring harness were all there was to it to swap out the old one. When I came back from running errands, the bin was filled with ice. Later, my wife and I left the house for a short while after I replaced it. First off, we threw out the first couple batches of ice, just as you would run some water through a new filter to get rid of the factory crap. A convenient ice dispenser in the door was nice to have A lot of ice covered the ground before New Year's. Is that really the case? Why do I make that statement? As I was taking the old one out, I noticed an odor coming from my hands. discovered what was causing the bad taste in the ice. It was a metal used in the old ice maker that was responsible for the bad taste. In the past, we had blamed this on our fridge filter, which had been replaced. I am very pleased with my new ice maker, so of course I am delighted.
We haven't been able to use our Frigidaire ice maker for the past To begin with, I was hesitant to order one of the non-alcoholic drinks Initially I was worried that I would need to replace the OEM part because it didn't last very long, so why would I need It took me just ten minutes to install my ice maker after watching a couple of installation videos. Two screws had to be loosened, the wire connector had to be squeezed to unplug it, and the old ice maker had to be pulled out. I had an old ice maker that had a metal bracket, but it was not firmly fastened to the wall of the freezer. Because I was hesitant to drill a hole into my freezer, the new metal bracket has been left unsecured. The two screws were tightened, the wire connector was plugged in, and the door was closed. We had again ice in the next 24 hours when the ice bin was full of ice. My new ice maker has only been operational for a week and I've intentionally cleared the ice bin every day to ensure that the maker would keep making ice. There have been no issues. This is a non-profit organization that I highly recommend Parts that come from the original manufacturer.
