It's great to have an icemaker like this. There are very few things that can measure up to this. On the large setting, the cubes are nice, and they don't melt too fast in my drinks. I'd throw away the first 8 or so, but I'd save the rest. There were 10 runs of ice. The first cubes were very small, but they got bigger and bigger as the runs progressed. I also like the fact that it makes ice quite quickly. I thought it would take longer, but it came faster than I anticipated. The freezer ice I used to use is no longer needed. When we have guests over during hot days, I bought this supplement to keep them cool. Now I run it regularly. My only suggestion is to place the electronic eye in the center In this ice storage bin, ice melts in the front whereas ice at the back begins to melt first, so ice will not be made until the ice at the back starts to melt. Ice is always fresh tasting since the Nightly recommends this ice maker. It is a great buy for the price.
