Leaving the machine unplugged for more than one hour requires it to be placed on clean. Wet the inside of the machine thoroughly with a dampened dishcloth or clean cloth, and add just two tablespoons of cleaner to it to clean it. Turn the machine to clean (back of machine). Mix about 4 ounces of your Opal machine cleaner with two quarts of water every two weeks for best results. Mix 2 qts of water and 1/2 bottle of auto-cleaner (half bottle) if you haven't cleaned the machine in 4 weeks. Please remember to rinse the solution through your machine three times with 5 cups of water. In order to properly clean the machine, I use bleach and water in the book 2 tablespoons of bleach in 5 cups of water and let the machine cycle on cleaning, then rinse with 5 cups of water for 4 minutes This is a complete cycle of 5 times.
Any ice maker should be able to use it.
I have been using it with my Kitchen Aid with no problems.
It's unclear to me what the cleaning requirement is for your ad based ice maker, as all of my ice machines have been dedicated under counter units that have "clean modes". In the scope of the requirements I have had for my equipment, this cleaner has been excellent and reliable. Well water has been my source of water for 40 years, which is relatively good, but there is still calcium built up on my machines, resulting to poor ice quality. This cleaner gently dissolves that calcium, which has enabled my machines to last and be preserved.

In the past, I used other products and assumed that my Manitowoc machine was just getting older and didn't produce FULL ICE CUBES as it did when it was new. I was very pleasantly surprised with this product. I then bought this product from them (Essential Values Ice Maker Cleaner) and WOW it produces FULL ICE CUBES again like it did when it was brand new after just one cycle of cleaning. If you need to clean your ice maker, I would strongly recommend this product. I will be buying again and keeping some on hand for future cleanings. If you need to clean your ice maker, I would highly recommend this product.
The purpose of this purchase was to give it to a subordinate We bought a zero-ice machine, and after using it, it made cubes that were paper thin. The appliance repairman came out and ran a Scottsman cleaner through my machine and it is now The cleaner used in his house was giving him trouble previously, he said it descales partially but causes more problems than it solves.
There is no comparison between the two brands, and the latter is much more economical. You need to be careful, though. There is a lot of concentration in this. Be sure to follow the package instructions when dilution. When I used this instead of the expensive solution for my KitchenAid, it took only one ounce of the solution along with 15oz of water instead of pouring it directly into every 16oz bottle. It would last a decade if I had enough!.
Before using this product, you must mix it with water since it is a concentrated product. As a result, a closer look is needed at the mix ratio, as the amount required to perform the cleaning process may be less than shown. When I mixed the product per instructions on the label and used it according to the machine maker's instructions, I discovered that the product worked very well.
I tried Essential Values after our Kitchenaid ice maker stopped working, mainly because my husband didn't follow protocol. Afresh couldn't get here for 5 days, so I tried Afresh instead. The first time we ran it, it seemed like our buildup was bad, so we ran it a second time. I was positive it was broken because my husband thought it was. There was no such thing. Using it is now easier than ever before! It is a great product at a great price, as you get several uses out of.
A couple of times a year, the machine must be cleaned. Despite the fact that this stuff has taken nearly an hour, it has done This product may work ok for people who have normal city treated water, but unfortunately for me it would not break the scale due to the high lime content in the water. The company representative was very helpful and offered a few solutions that were incredibly appreciated. I say it didn't work for my very hard spring water because it is so hard.
The water reservoir in my ice maker ran out and I couldn't start it. I had to keep adding water when I heard a sucking noise from the recirculating pump so I used the descaler. However, the problem still researched online and found out that mineral buildup on the wires of the cutting grid would be the culprit. On my wires, I saw a buildup of grime. It still took me a couple hours to physically remove the buildup after soaking the grid in CLR overnight. It seemed as though the problem was resolved after the ice maker filled with ice. It helped that I used a descaler.
It cleaned my machine to the point where it worked as if it was brand new. For as long as the service is available, I will use it. There is no question in my mind about recommending it.
