Without the smell of gas, the heater will heat up faster
5/5

We had been waiting for a long time for my oven to heat up and it was producing an increasingly strong natural gas smell. Our appliance was a perfect fit with this part. In order to make it easy for others to identify if the oven is the same, I took a picture of the inside. Picture with the red circle shows the old part. I went with a new part (which had some nice improvements in the covering on the small and big connectors), and it worked as expected. It used to take 10 minutes for the heater to heat up to 350 before the new part, and the house smelled like gas before. It takes about two minutes to do this now, and the gas smell has disappeared. If you turn the heat on for the first time of the year, it will smell similar to when you turn on the heat for the first time. Because it is a brand new part, the first time it heats up, it will smell similar to when you turn on the heat. Afterwards, it does not have any smell at all. In addition, it was very well packaged in huge bubble wrap when it arrived, so it was ready for installation as soon as it came. While I was a little nervous about replacing it myself, after watching a video on how to do it I was able to do it without too much difficulty.

You can fix your slow oven for a reasonable price
5/5

Here are 10 things to know about us The year is My wife said that we need to upgrade our old gas oven/broiler since it took over 20 minutes to heat up. While searching, I found some YouTube videos that showed how to replace the igniter if it is only the igniter that is the problem. 20 seconds should be enough for the igniter to get white hot. The gas valve does not open properly with an old stove because it takes a long time to heat up. I was pretty impressed with the engineer's ability to fix the oven! The best price appeared to be on Amazon after confirming the part number, and it was returnable if not right, as well as coming from the Frigidaire store. My original purchase price was $59, but the present price is higher (since I paid $60). It is very important to make sure you do not touch the new igniter element with your bare fingers or Oil on your fingers can cause the element to fail, just like that on a car headlight bulb. Since the design of the assembly is such that it can be handled without going near the element, handling it is not a problem. Getting to the igniter is straightforward due to the easy removal of everything. If it is your first time removing the oven door, be very, very careful! In order to hold the door in place, the hinge is secured by a locking tab. If you flip the tab down, you can lift the hinge plate off the pin in the oven and lift it up and away. Not until I realized that the tab is designed to retract fully, rest against the hinge, and then rest against the door once it is rotated up to about 30 degrees from vertical that I figured it out. In this way, it prevents the door from springing back into the hinge- I am fully-prepared The oven is freed from this position after the baked goods have been removed. After rotating the tabs until the hinge was loose, but not all the way down to the hinge plate, I loosened the hinge. I pulled the door up and out with my hands near the hinges, and the hinges sprang back like a gun, cutting me badly on the I'm so sorry! There is a lot of force on the springs at the hinge because the door is extremely heavy and the lever is low. There is therefore a great deal of spring force required. It took a long screwdriver to reach the hinges and be able to hold the hinges partially open using the tabs I used to pull them up. It's amazing how strong those springs are! It was a bit difficult to modify the oven after the old element came out. I could not remove the screws that held it on, so it had to be dismantled. There was a bit of loosening, but then they just spanned. As a result, the screw heads had to be removed, the screws removed, the holes cleaned, and two new self-tapping screws needed to be used A tap is used to tap There are lots of screws in my workshop, so I'm looking forward to using them! Depending on how the screws are attached, you may only have to undo one or two of them. It's just a matter of being I hereby re- After simple assembly, I fired up the oven while I fiddled with the dials and awaited my meal. It will be 25 seconds after that. It's whoomph time! It fired up and worked as if it had never been turned off. This is much cheaper than getting a new oven and you only have to lose two thumbs. As soon as the igniter fails within the next 10 years, I will update it!.

The fitting was amazing and it was easy to use
5/5

I found it very easy to install this particular part because it had all the necessary connectors without the need for splicing. All you have to do is plug in. It's best not to buy any that are under $30 because they won't have plugs and you'll end up having to splice them. This is not something to which I am mechanically inclined. Wires, connectors, and connector spacing were all located in the right place and length in this igniter, which, in comparison to some of the competition, was lacking. It is a great igniter that I cannot praise highly enough, plus it was shipped in one day so I am very pleased!.

I was able to save money! I was having trouble heating up my Frigidare gas stove and my husband wanted to buy a new one
5/5

In order to avoid spending $700, I consulted youtube for information, and I determined it was the ignition In my opinion, for $40 (including shipping) this part was worth trying since it seemed fairly easy to change the old igniter. That was such a great decision for me. In about 30 minutes I was able to remove the broken igniter and replace it (though I am aware that getting to the back of the oven was not easy). I saved hundreds of dollars by doing this! It is part of a part which has a compatibility search tool, and it was correct in my case. This is a 2-star rating. This unit worked for about 3 months and now must be replaced.

After 5 months, it is impossible that this part will not work
3/5

The week of July 8, 2020, I bought an igniter for a gas stove. I discovered that the part had stopped working on Christmas day, not quite 5 months after Christmas, and I inquired about a replacement, but this manufacturer only offers a 30-day return policy This product comes with a 30-day One of the lessons I learned was to read reviews ALWAYS. In the most recent review, the next most recent part ordered from this company has also been described as having a short lifespan. A second lesson to be learned is that a manufacturer offering only a 30-day trial If they're not returning the product within their guarantee period, the product was probably defective to begin with. The fact that Amazon continues to list this company as a vendor is shameful.

Worked like a charm
5/5

It took me two tries to get the right part from two different places before I finally found this one. Today, I put it in and fired up my oven and it lit. I can't give a review of its longevity yet, since this was the first day it was put in. I'll have to wait a few months or more to do so.

You've got a chance to win
5/5

Easy to install and a perfect match for the OEM. It is then just a matter of plugging it in. It was held in place by a single screw. I found it to be very useful. This fixed the problem where it took over 15 minutes for the old unit to ignite the burner, and if it did, it burned for hardly any time.

I wish you a happy family holiday! The plug and play method is used
5/5

Now that my oven is working again, my family is quite delighted to be able to eat cinnamon rolls again! The fact that I did not have to buy a new oven with that "power burner" garbage they sell today also saved me quite a bit of money.
