The seller will not give you a refund or replace your item! A GE appliance should deliver more! I have high expectations for Amazon Prime, as I am a long-time subscriber. I'm surprised Amazon doesn't back up this assertion. The only thing I want is for the appliance to be replaced or refunded! The contents of the freezer were more valuable than the freezer itself: for a 6 month old infant, fully stocked with meat, fish, and breast milk! Please assist me in resolving this matter, Amazon Prime representative! Amy Phalen is a writer who lives in Los Angeles.
This freezer is extremely nice. I did a lot of research and found that this one received a lot of good feedback. It took us a while to get it here. The first one was severely damaged when it arrived. We contacted the company, and we received a replacement and the damaged freezer was picked up in less than a week. The seller's trucking company is subpar. However, in the short time we've had it, we've had a positive experience with it.
We placed an order, and it arrived in 10 days after traveling 3300 miles. It would take two months, according to the big box stores. It arrived in excellent condition. On the outside, the packaging was in perfect condition. We took it out of the box and saw how lovely it was. We moved it into the freezer room and plugged it in, and it was love at first sight. It had dropped to - in four hours. There was no humming and the room was completely silent. It's huge and open on the inside, and the lighting is fantastic. If you're in the market for a new freezer, this is the one to get.
The Negative:br>br>First and foremost, let me state that I carefully read multiple reviews from various sellers before deciding to take a chance on receiving a fully functional unit. br>br>Well. . . . This was not the case. Yes, I was one of the hundreds of unlucky people who got one that never stopped running. It never turned off, even when the temperature dropped below - At 20°F, the temperature continued to drop, as evidenced by my two brand new NSF Thermostats. The temperature warning alarm would beep, beep, beep every six hours until we pressed the reset button, which was even more annoying. Despite a great door seal that is like opening a Sub-Zero, our frost-free freezer developed frost and snow on the inside. The temperature in the freezer should be zero. br>br>After a 24-hour period on this non-alcoholic beverage, since I submitted a return request with the seller, who agreed to let me return it (at my expense) to their warehouse in New Jersey. br>br>Now, enraged at myself for going against the reviews and trusting Amazon to look after me, I decide to contact GE for assistance. The first meeting is scheduled for 13 days from now. br>br>The tech RAY was awesome and ordered the necessary parts for this KNOWN ISSUE, which arrived at my home in two days (Friday). br>br>He came to install them on Monday, and it is now working properly, but he gouged my vinyl flooring while moving the freezer. br>br>The good news:br>br>The shipping date was two weeks after the order was placed. It arrived in two days (with no warning, at 6:45 a. m. ). I was fortunate to be available that day (at 30 a. m. on the day of delivery). br>br>The freezer is roomy, has excellent LED lighting, and is currently maintaining a constant temperature of 0°F. br>br>The drawers glide smoothly, the shelves adjust easily, and the door racks are well spaced. RECOMMENDATION: BR>BR>RECOMMENDATION: BR>BR>RECOMMENDATION: BR>RECOMMENDATION: br>br>AVOID this unit until GE issues a recall and replaces any control boards that are defective. This is a well-known problem that they would prefer to address later rather than causing inconvenience to their customers. br>br>AVOID this vendor if you receive a defective item and expect a replacement rather than a repair (I didn't mention that it was delivered without a box, and the original box is required to return it).

" " When the temperature in this freezer remains constant at 0 degrees, the high temperature alarm continues to sound. We've worn out the keypad on the front door by repeatedly pressing the reset button (approximately 5 times per day). The freezer frosts up in the pullout tray area as well, according to the technician, "due to the humidity inside the unit. " "I explained that the other fire/freezer had never done that, so it appears that the solution is to run this freezer in an air-conditioned environment. " BUY THIS FREEZER AT YOUR OWN RISK!.
Amazon has never sold me a major appliance. I chose this one after reading a lot of reviews and then finding it on Amazon by chance. This GE upright freezer has excellent efficiency, a convenient temperature readout and adjustment on the front *lockable* door, and nice glass shelving on the inside (they also have a slightly less expensive model with wire racks). They arrived on time, unboxed the items so we could inspect them for damage, and were extremely pleasant to deal with. I'm going to put appliances on my online shopping list now!.
I really wanted to upgrade to one with an Open Door alarm after the door gasket finally failed (I gave it to someone who ordered a new one). I went with the 17-cubic-foot model. I love that the front of the door displays the temperature inside, and I love all of the extra space, and I love that Amazon had the best price. There's no need to be concerned about being able to see what's inside. br>Having a stand-alone freezer is especially useful in this time of pandemics.
All of my frozen and cooked meats are gone. It's a work of art with a well-thought-out interior for storing various packaging shapes. There's a lot of room and I like how bright the interior is. What a great deal, and with no interest for the first 12 months, it's a better-than-average value, with an alarm, lock, and freezer settings.
