I was concerned that it would be damaged in transit, but it arrived in perfect condition. Only problem was that my trash can was overflowing with Styrofoam due to the obvious care taken in the packing. The engineering design of the chest freezer is quite impressive: the lid is spring hinged: When you open it, it shows up. The compressor pump runs at a very low noise level. I couldn't hear anything when I saw the pump operation indicator light light up, so I had to put my hand on my chest to feel the vibration. br>This was an excellent deal, and shipping was free with Amazon Prime! It's incredible!.

The freezer works fine in general, but the dings are a little more severe than one would expect from a product of this type.

So far, this freezer has met my expectations. I wish there was another basket, but for the price and the speed with which it arrived, this is an excellent purchase! There's no one around. The only issue is the spring-loaded hinge, which means you must keep it away from the wall and empty the space otherwise it will fly up and slam into the wall. So, if you place this unit in front of anything in that space, it will be slammed shut. It slammed into our Thermostat on the wall the first time I opened it. So I did something about it. That thing, on the other hand, takes off like a rocket!.

This is a fantastic little freezer. The most amazing thing about it is how quiet it is; you can't even hear it! It's kept in a back bedroom and doesn't wake up the sleeping person. We use it for frozen fruit and vegetable bulk packs, as well as larger roasts/poultry and frozen pet food packs. Although our refrigerator has a large lower drawer freezer compartment, items do occasionally become "lost in the bottom. " I'll be able to keep better track of what's in each freezer, and I'll be able to take advantage of sales.

As a result, I would strongly recommend purchasing insurance in case something goes wrong. br>br>Aside from that, it appears to be capable of holding enough food for our family of five. It doesn't come with a defrost scraper, so you'll have to buy one separately if you need one.

So far, everything is running smoothly. Keep it in the house because previous freezers I've kept in the garage have died too quickly, and I'm guessing the heat makes it work harder. So far, everything is going swimmingly.
