This may be an industry standard, I have no idea, so I'm not sure why they don't market it. The water temperature in my cheap apartment faucet is so finicky. It's either scalding hot or ice cold, so when I run the washer, I leave it in the middle. As far as I'm concerned, this thing works really well.
