Unlike an electric cooktop, which must transfer heat from the surface to the cookware and then to the food, induction cooktops directly heat the cookware. Furthermore, because the cooktop and oven are separate units, replacement or repair would be less expensive than a traditional stove, which would require replacing the entire unit. br>The unit also has an auto shut-off feature if it doesn't detect magnetic cookware, and cooking can be timed easily.
