Both LPG and NG metering orifices are included, with LPG being preinstalled. It also comes with an adapter for a 3/8 flare fitting on a propane tank. The ignition is 120 volts, and both burners were already lit when they arrived. I took it apart after tripping a breaker and discovered that the internal wiring had shorted to ground. This unit can be used without being plugged in if you don't mind using a grill lighter to ignite it (which was my plan from the beginning). The price is reasonable, and the unit appears to be in good condition, but the wiring is something I am concerned about. I'm not sure why it doesn't use a couple of batteries like other gas igniters do.
RV stove with 3 burners The CampLux had to be returned due to a faulty knob that would jam and prevent the burner from turning off. I didn't care for the oval burner or how the two burners were offset, which made it difficult to use more than one pan and made heating a griddle difficult. These others have the advantage of being specifically designed for road vibration and easy installation into a surface cutout. This AUODGDNT is the same as the GasHob, but it isn't designed to withstand road vibration or fender-benders. benders. The grate, burners, and metal rings would all go flying if you slammed on your brakes or got into an accident, and everything would rattle while driving. Also, unless you have an inverter, the A/C powered igniters are useless in a D/C powered van. There are no holes to screw it down and the stainless cover is not flush with the body, which is a design flaw. I finally found the Dometic for a reasonable price, which is the better van life two-in-one solution. a stove with multiple burners.
To clarify previous reviews, I live in San Diego, California. Mine worked and was in good condition when it arrived. br>I'm using mine for a van conversion project, and it's really nice. It comes with an elbow fitting that appears to be a quick connect fitting, but I'm not sure. br>In order for it to work with the "frequently bought together" or the standard hose you'd use on a grill/BBQ tank, you'll need to purchase a "1 pound tank propane adapter. " br>I'm using coleman small tanks, and they needed this. If you have a larger tank and the right fitting, you can also refill them. br>Wish it came with something akin to a template, but not everyone will be using it as a counter. br>Both natural and liquid gas will be used. If it's plugged into the wall (110 Volts AC), there's no need for a lighter. The sparker will not work with 12V DC (due to safety concerns), but a lighter will suffice.
To begin with, the delivery people could have dropped this from a plane and it would have arrived safely, thanks to the double boxes it was shipped in. I'm looking forward to taking my family camping. This will be a fantastic addition to your outdoor kitchen. Cooking with only a fire or a grill is extremely difficult. I'm going to make a big difference with this two-burner setup. Overall, the quality is excellent. Cooking grate is extremely durable, as are the feet on the bottom, which can support a significant amount of weight. br>br>I hope you found this information to be useful.
Much more efficient than my old camp stove! Finally, I got my burner set up and started using it. Everything went according to schedule. I came across some igniter complaints. My first start didn't go so well, so I now turn the knob to the high setting and wait for the gas to pass through all of the channels. After that, I press and hold the button until it turns on. It's not an issue. It was also simple to replace the bottom fitting on my propane tank. I already had a low-pressure regulator, so I went to Lowes and bought a hose for $14. I really like how it looks and how it performs. It's installed as a countertop burner in my camper van. I'll put everything in cabinets and update it as needed. At the moment, my van is sitting still. My photo of the salmon I prepared will not upload.
br>br>I bought this stove to go with the grilling station I'd built because I like the layout of the burners and knobs, which lends itself to a front-burner setup. br>br>I bought this stove to go with the grilling station I'd built because I like the For the space I'd allotted, I needed to do some back installation. The electric start works, and the burners appear to have adequate flames for what I'll be cooking outside; however, since the instructions are "meh," here are some notes on the stove setup: 1. br>br> Based on the performance, the propane nozzles in the burners were already installed when the unit arrived.
2. The propane tank hose connection was not installed on the unit when it was delivered. They provide a wrench and the proper fitting to set up the cooktop to accept a standard propane tank hose for problem number two. Simply remove the odd barbed connection and replace it with a small propane male end. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. They put the blue protective plastic on for some reason - a covering for the main stovetop - THEN they screwed the burners on top of it, which means there is plastic beneath the screw heads that will melt after the unit has been burned for a while, so I took the time to remove the screws and the plastic beneath the heads with a drill/driver. It's worth it to use 8 screws, and it's a breeze. 4. br>br> They gave us a pair of odd square mats with holes in the middle. I'm still not sure what they're trying to accomplish. They don't appear to be suitable for use around a gas stove. 5. IT IS A MYSTERYbr>br> Despite the fact that I purchased it with the intention of using it as a drop-in replacement, it has turned out to It has feet, and you can use it as a tabletop stove when you go camping (or glamping, since I wouldn't want to carry this around when hiking). On the supplied foam tape, I simply let it fall into the hole under its own weight. br>br>In conclusion, this is a well-designed, low-cost cooktop stove that appears to be capable of performing its intended function while also looking good.
This was installed on a covered deck in an outdoor kitchen. It looks nice and works well, but it requires 120V in addition to the gas line to operate. The burners aren't super powerful and don't go very low for simmering, but for the price, it's fine.
