Dear David,br>Thank you so much for all of your help with our ECOTOUCH Appliances. Cut- The electric radiant cooktop with 2 burners has a dimension of ten inches. The dimensions are 63'' by 19''. 2''. We must emphasize that a suitable cut-off time is required. Too much built-in cutting causes a lot of stress on the panel surface, so the out dimension is required. br>If you have any other questions, please email ECOTOUCH Customer Service at [email protected]. com. br>Have a good shopping experience. I'm an electrician by trade, so wiring this unit to a 30a 240v breaker with 10aug wire was a breeze. I also built concrete countertops in my new home's kitchen. With the concrete countertops, these look fantastic. My hole is exactly the same size as the dimensions, and it fits perfectly. It wasn't too difficult to shim it a little bit. I like the child lock because it protects the children from being burned. Don't believe the negative reviews; I don't believe they know what they're doing and most likely installed the product incorrectly! Excellent value for money! This appears to be a 700$ model that we were considering purchasing prior to this. Please mark this as helpful if it was of any assistance to you. Thabks!.
In my kitchen, I have a four-wire 220v plug (black, red, white, and green). Only black, white, and green wire are included with this cooktop. I set up the cooktop using the color-coded wires (black-white-black-white-black-white-black-white-black-white-black-white-black-white-black- black, white-white, and green-green-green-green-green-green-green-green- The cooktop took a long time to bring a kettle of water to a boil (8 minutes) because there were no red radiant coils visible. As a result, I knew I hadn't wired it properly. This Ecotouch company's installation instructions should be more detailed. I re-read the book after that. plugged in the proper wires (black-white-black-white-black-white-black-white-black red and black green and white- When the cooktop was turned on, red radiant coils appeared immediately, and the kettle of water boiled in under 2 minutes. Overall, this cooktop performs admirably when it comes to preparing my meals. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't fit a 30" opening properly. At the very least, it's a one. Short by 1/2 inch!.
So far, I've been very pleased with this cooktop. A broken window was replaced with a new one. Because the burners provided inconsistent heat, we decided to use a ceramic cooktop. The setup was simple, and the instructions were easy to follow. The provided cutout board served as a great tool for marking the counter for the adjusted cutout. I did have to go to my electrical panel to confirm that the white was indeed wired to the grounding bar, so, like other reviews, my wiring went black-to-white (from appliance to wall). red-black, white-red, green-black, white-red, green-green-black, white It was white, and it worked right away. The lock feature is my favorite because it prevents the touch controls from turning on or adjusting while you're cooking. For the price, the functionality and sleek appearance of this item are excellent. br>br>UPDATE: We got a heat mark almost immediately that didn't seem to go away. But after rubbing it with Dawn vinegar and baking soda, it came right up! Still fantastic!.
MISTAKES REGARDING PROPER GAUGE WIRE AND AMPS CIRCUIT BREAKER. STATES THAT 10/2 AND 30 DP BREAKER ARE TO BE USED. DISCOVERED MISTAKE AFTER COMPLETE INSTALLATIONbr>AMAZON PROMISED TO REMOVE AD 3X. AMAZON MADE CUSTOMERS IN THE EVENT OF AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED BY BOTH ECTOUCHES AMAZON! Update: The ad was taken down for a short time before being replaced with a replacement ad at a significant discount. It would be fascinating to learn if any changes were made to their printed manual.
For most people, I believe the wiring is the most difficult part. To be sure, I double-checked other reviews and the instructions. It is not necessary to use the "white" neutral wire from your wall. The product's wiring appears to be white but is actually grey, and your first instinct may be to connect your home's white neutral wire and grey wiring together, but this is not the case. (black- red and black the ground is grey and green green ground or your breaker will continue to trip)br>br>Since I installed it, it has worked flawlessly. I'm not an electrician, but I followed all of the safety precautions and had no trouble. Instant heat is a nice feature, as is the child lock, and the touch buttons are simple to use. br>br>There is also a timed shut-off feature. off in case you walk away for an extended period of time and forget the stove is on (time to turn off varies depending on temperature setting) and a self-timing feature that you can set to turn off. If you were boiling eggs and wanted to do something else or needed to step away for a while, I think the timer would be useful.
The chef is one of our favorites. top. It arrived in excellent condition. It's simple to operate once you've gotten used to it, and it's also simple to clean. br>I like how the temperature rises and falls. I find simmering to be easier and more precise than using any other type of electric cookware. I've worn this top before. br>The "OFF" function is the problem. Everything is turned off when you touch or drag something across the off touch function, such as a finger, a cloth, or a pot. There was no warning, just a complete turn-off of all elements. You'll have to reset all of the elements at the very least. The worst-case scenario is that whatever you thought was cooking for 30 minutes was actually off for 30 minutes. It's so inconvenient that it's a design flaw on the verge of becoming a design flaw. It is in need of an override, which is why it was docked a few points.
The good: This was a breeze to put together, especially since I was replacing an old cooktop of the same size; simply connect the wires and place it in the counter opening, and you're done! It is also, for the most part, very simple to use. We've tried it out a few times and it's great. br>br>It might be better: The cooktop comes with two stickers already applied. They are, however, difficult to get rid of. I was able to tear off some of the tops of the stickers, but I needed to use goo removal products to remove the majority of them. After that, I had to thoroughly wash it with soapy water to get rid of any remaining residue. It appears that it would have been so simple if they had simply chosen to use easy-to-follow instructions. stickers to remove br>br>Also, the instructions cover most of what you need to know, but they don't explain how to use the dual rings button. They show a picture of the button, but no explanation is given as to what it does. Of course, I could fiddle with it until I figure it out, but the instructions should explain how to use it. Finally, the top right burner (dual ring, one oval) could be explained, though it is not a unique feature of this cooktop. I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with that. If anything significant comes up after we've been using it for a while, I'll update this review.
This is a fantastic device. We got a stainless steel insert for the hole that was there before because it was slightly smaller than the one we had. It looks fantastic and goes well with our stainless/black kitchen. There are no knobs, which I find very appealing. The lock is excellent for ensuring the security of children. While cooking, use the lock to prevent water from boiling over and shutting off the stove. This is only a recommendation.
