With a glass surface and sensor touch controls, this cooktop is sure to impress. You don't have to be concerned about spills. However, keep the surface clean and dry at all times; water on the surface may temporarily disable the touch control button. br>Also, because this cooktop isn't 110V, make sure it's connected to a 220-volt outlet. The voltage is 240V.
Scratches are inevitable with cast iron. If the bottoms are heavy, a copper chef should suffice.
240V
This is a 220 pounder. 240V appliances are those that are powered by electricity. It is best to have it installed by a professional electrician to ensure safety, as not everyone is skilled in the use of electricity.

See the measurements for the exact length and width. I tried everything I could to stay away from purchasing this cooktop. There aren't many reviews, and it's a bit of I didn't want to be the guinea pig because of the brand name and the fact that it was clearly a new market offering. br>br>We live in an older house with limited space for installation. I purchased and returned big-box store brands that didn't fit. The cooktop had to be at least 20 degrees. The width should be no more than 5 inches. The majority of the new name-brand models are in their twenties. 5". The top's specifications stated that it was a size 20. 5 inches is a good estimate. It measures 30 5/32" long by 20 7/16" wide, making it ideal for our space. br>br>It was very easy to set up. Be aware that the black and white instruction booklet that came with the unit contains an error. It says to join the black and brown wires (for certain installations), but there is no brown wire at all. There is a red wire, and through elimination, I determined that the red wire was, in fact, "brown," as the documentation indicated. br>br>According to a few reviews, the burners did not turn red or heated slowly. The burners glow bright red and do so in seconds, cranking out the heat if the unit is improperly wired; however, if the unit is properly wired, the burners glow bright red and do so in seconds, cranking out the heat. br>br>It takes about two minutes to figure out how to operate the controls. For the first few days, the teenagers whined about them, but I haven't heard from them since. Be aware that "LO" does not stand for "low heat," as one might assume, but rather "lock. " When you lightly press the lock button for three seconds, LO vanishes, restoring order to the universe. That is the only snag. br>br>The thickness of the glass top appears to be the same as it was on our previous Kenmore, which lasted 25 years (before colliding with a frozen block of mangoes at high speed). The unit is reasonably sturdy, not as thin and cheap as I had anticipated. I would purchase this item again.
We've been putting off a kitchen renovation in order to upgrade to a much larger cooktop, so we've been using an air cooktop. I decided to take a chance even before reading any other reviews because of the Gasland's extremely low price. I'm glad I took the chance. It looks great and performs admirably once you get the hang of it, and the surface is far more durable than our Jenn-Air. Almost immediately, the air became tainted. Take your time to learn how to use all of the controls, including the burner. This is a really cool burner timer!.
In just 5 minutes, you'll have your electricity hooked up. Before you begin any work, remember to LO/TO the 220 breaker. The set includes three cables: one brown/red, one blue, and one yellow and green ground cable. Each 110V cable from the outlet is connected to the blue and brown/red wires separately. The white neutral cable at your outlet (cap it OFF) isn't required for this 220V connection. Simply connect the (2) 110V from the outlet to the range cables Brown and Blue separately (do not pair). The ground bolt or green wire at the outlet is connected to the green/yellow cable, and you're ready to go. It cooks quickly and is a great way to spend some time outside.
I was a little hesitant because I'd never heard of the brand before, but after shopping online and reading reviews, it turns out that the brand name is pretty much all you're paying for. The installation was simple because we already had one, and all I had to do was match the three wires on the 220 plug.
I was able to easily install this myself, and it works perfectly. While the buttons can be a little sensitive when cooking, I appreciate the versatility of the various range sizes. This cooktop has exceeded my expectations.
My husband is quite handy around the house and has some experience with electrical wiring, so we bought it despite the reviews claiming it had wiring issues. We've tried every possible wiring configuration for this cooktop, but nothing ever gets the water to boil. When we contacted the manufacturer, they requested that we send a photo of the wiring. They also sent some additional documentation, which did not prove to be of any assistance. br>br>This cooktop is a complete waste of money. Spend a few hundred dollars more and get one that you're confident will work. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I also had an appliance technician come out and look at it, and he couldn't figure out how the burners would ever get enough power to heat properly. What a colossal squandering of resources.
We received the Gasland Glass cooktop and immediately began using it after installing it (which was a breeze). br>br>The cooktop's settings are simple to learn, and the "Lock" option/selection is a great way to avoid any accidents with children and/or pets, as well as while cleaning the top. br>br>Cooks quickly, and changing the heat setting is simple once you've figured out how to do it. The cleaning of the top is one thing that could be improved. In order to clean the top, I tried three different solutions. Regardless of which one I use, the cooktop's top never shines and always fades. br>br>Aside from that, purchasing the cooktop to replace the one I had was a good decision. I have no idea how to turn on this induction cooker. When I pressed the buttons, nothing happened. After reading the manual, I discovered that the unit's safety system will shut it down if there is no pot on the stove or if it is removed from the surface, and the stove will go into standby mode. This is a fantastic feature for those who are concerned about their safety. Second, I like the power levels up to 1800W, which is much more powerful than my old electric glass cook top and cuts cooking time in half; the induction cooker also has a temperature button to select the desired temperature from 140°F to 450°F. 460℉. br>Third, this device has the ability to set the timer, which is a very useful feature. It can cook for up to 180 minutes at a time. When cooking, you'll be able to see how much time is left. The unit will automatically turn off after the specified cooking time has passed. Underneath the cooker is a ventilation system that helps it cool down after use. br>The device is lightweight and portable, as well as simple to clean. I'm glad I bought it for everyday use because of the great features and low price. I'm hoping it will last a long time.
